This year for International Sushi Day (which is June 18th), Sanrio and I are celebrating with yet another epic deco sushi creation: Gudetama Sushi! These sushi rolls are totally beginner-friendly, stuffed with delectable “breakfast-esque” ingredients, and naturally colored that bright Gudetama-yellow hue with an all-natural dye. Whenever I need a little extra cheer and cuteness in my bento box, there are always two things that I subconsciously gravitate towards: lots of pink, and lots of Hello Kitty. I think it’s safe to say that this Hello Kitty Cherry Bento Box surpasses these requirements, since we have:

  1. Hot pink rice “cherries”, which are colored naturally with beet powder.

Seals are definitely one of my all-time fave aquatic animals. Every time I see them at the zoo or aquarium, I have to be physically dragged away from the exhibit, lest I decide to camp out for the night. If you show me a picture of a baby seal, I will literally scream in agony over the sheer unbearable cuteness. If it’s a video, I’ll enter cardiac arrest. Because baby seals are precious, innocent little puffs of heaven on earth. Their very existence demands adoration.
